ATA holds discussions to hold SATA in Maldives

Travel Agents Maldives (ATA) has held discussions with Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer to hold the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA).

ATA said that SATA President Tuan Sabeer, ATA's Saushan Shafeeq, Mohamed Ali and Secretary General Mohamed Mishad had attended the meeting with the Tourism Minister.

Speaking to Avas, ATA VP Saushan Shafeeq said that Tourism Minister was very positive to hold the travel awards in the country.

"Minister Zameer was very positive, as this is an opportunity for destination promotion. In the meeting we discussed on the challenges to the industry," Saushan said.

SATA is an award aimed at Asian region. This year, SATA will be held in Sri Lanka.
