The Presidential nominee for the position of Home Minister Azleen Ahmed of Hilihilaage, GDh. Rathafandhoo has been forwarded to the Government Oversight Committee of the Parliament for review and vetting.
The letter sent by the President today requested the Committee to review the nomination and complete the vetting process of the nominee appointed to the position last Monday.
Up until his appointment as Home Minister Azleen had been serving as Deputy Minister at Education Ministry, responsible for Department of Higher Education.
