President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has accepted the challenge and completed ‘Training with Mv Champs’ by participating in a training session with the fastest runner in Maldives, Hassan Saaid. The President was challenged by the General Secretary of the Olympics committee, Ahmed Marzoog.
Under this challenge, thus far several prominent personalities, politicians and senior state officials have participated and gained experience by training with top Maldivian athletes.
Any ‘Training with Mv Champs’ challenge has to be completed by those challenged before the opening ceremony of Paralympics on 7th September 2016.
Former Presidents Mohamed Nasheed, Dr. Waheed and Maumoon Abdul Gayoom had been challenged in this initiative.
