EAT.mv reveals that the publication will dish out food industry awards starting from 2017.
Getaways Business Development Director Dr. Hussain Sunny Umar said the publication will also host the first food forum in addition to the awards.
"Restaurant owners, food industry professionals will participate in this. Consultants and chefs will also participate," he said.
Sunny said awards will be given in multiple categories in the food and beverage sector.
"We have the best restaurant and chef in addition to other categories. The winners will be chosen from an audit firm," Sunny said.
He said food recipe launched by EAT.mv for Ramadan was well received by the public.
"We have a 100,000 visitors every day. Many share the recipes. Total views are around a million," Sunny said.
The awards will be held in April next year.
