Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM) has released a statement condemning coalition partner Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) for interfering in the internal matters of PPM.
A statement released by the Party today said the representatives for the Party Talks had been decided by the Party, adding that MDA cannot criticize PPM decisions.
The letter also said that MP Faris, as suggested by a member of MDA, was not removed from the Party. MP Faris is to represent the Party in the Talks. The letter said they "had not received any documentation of an Ethics review. As such MP Faris is still a member of the Party and representative of the Party in the Parliament".
Disagreements had flared over the Party's decision to have MP Faris as a representative of the Party for the Talks.
