Facebook is the king of social media. This is not without reason, as they always keep coming up with new and innovative ways to make life easier and smarter for everyone. Last week they released to the public a new platform called Workplace by Facebook that makes work life easier and makes communications between co-workers easier.
This special version was released to employees of Facebook a few years previously. And this product was being released to certain companies with the approval of Facebook. But last week, they released this product worldwide. But Facebook is still giving the use of this platform to limited companies from the ones that requested the use of it.
Even though it appears similar, Facebook says that this platform will help keep workers personal and professional lives separate, making it easier to work.
Workplace has the same features that Facebook does. In other words, this is a clone of Facebook. Workplace also has a news feed, but the only things appearing on this news feed are work related. And Workplace helps hide both the funny and serious issues that take part in the work environment. In order to do this on Facebook, one must manually go to privacy settings and adjust it.
This application which enable all the departments of the workplace to be on the same platform was just introduced to the mass public a week ago. This application can have different groups for the different departments of the workplace. Only members of a certain department can view their departments posts, no one else will have access. In other words, this program uses technology to help make operating these departments easier and is pleasant to use.
To make the information on Workplace as secure as possible, Facebook is using help from internationally trusted companies, such as Cloud Security Alliance. And the NCC Group Security has released a report after testing Workplace saying that it can be trusted.
The product is designed in such a way so that the customers of a business can also use it. The customers can learn new information about the business and can also provide feedback. This makes it one of the best platforms in the business area.
As a member of the Workplace family, a chatting application has also been introduced. Going by the name of Workchat, this program is to Workplace what Messenger is to Facebook. Workchat, like Workplace, is also custom made to suit the needs of a work environment, being that it can be used to talk about office matters without mixing it with our personal lives.
Avas Online has also been registered in Workplace, and is currently using it in the working environment. As such, all the departments of Avas is currently operating digitally or through a network. Employees of Avas previously used Viber to communicate. Employees of Avas note that using Workplace fixes a lot of problems caused by Viber and Facebook, and makes it easier to concentrate on work.
Many companies which were operating through Facebook are now moving their companies to Workplace. Facebook has released two special applications to use this program on phones. This product is turning out to be a product that can challenge competitors and rise to the top of the market.
