An individual has been arrested on suspicion of abuse of a minor.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) says that the arrest was made last night around 7:50, based on information received to their department. The arrested individual was a 54 year old man. Maafushi Magistrate Court has given the Police a 15 day period to investigate this matter further.
MPS says the investigation is currently ongoing.
