PPM opens office in Dharubaaruge for local council elections

The temporary office opened to prepare for the local council elections by PPM will be opened in Dharubaaruge. The preparations for this office have been made in Dharubaaruge.

Opened by members of the Yameen faction, this office will undertake all the preparations for the local council elections. This office will also give out and accept forms.

At the news conference held at Dharubaaruge to share information about this office, the SG selected by the PPM council meeting held by President Yameen, Dr Abdulla Khaleel said that an office was needed to undertake the preparations for the local council elections and so an office will be set up in Dharubaaruge for this purpose.

Khaleel said that the official work of the office will start very soon. And as the current government was elected as part of a coalition, the work of the office will start after discussions with coalition member MDA. And that application forms will be available for the members who wish to take part in the local council after that.

"The office being opened in Dharubaaruge is only a temporary one, for the local council elections. Very soon a party office will be decided and the address will be shared with the members," Khaleel said.

Khaleel also said that the last day for applying the forms and other information will be shared soon.

Former President Maumoon's faction has also said that they will be accepting forms. But President Yameen's faction say not to apply to Maumoon's faction, and to re apply the forms at the Yameen factions office. Khaleel said that only forms applied to their office will be accepted.
