Ethics Committee of the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has ordered Thulusdhoo Constituency MP Mohamed Waheed Ibrahim and Ibrahim Shujau to attend a session of the Committee.
The letter sent by the Committee said the two individuals are under review. The summons stated that Shujau must attend the session along with two members of his choice at 4.30 pm today. The same directive was issued for MP Wadde. He has been ordered to attend the Committee at 5.30 pm today.
The letter said the case will be reviewed in absentia if the two failed to attend the session.
The two had voted against the motion to exit the Commonwealth. Though they had voted against the exit, the motion was passed with 39 members voting in favor of leaving the Commonwealth.
