Maldives to announce 3 things at World Travel Market

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, (MMPRC) has announced that Maldives will declare many interests and a large tourism related delegation will take part in the World Travel Market that will be held in London during November. Maldives has taken part in these fairs before as well. This is the 37th year this fair is being held. Deputy Director of MMPRC, Fathimath Raahil said today that 168 people from 66 companies from the Maldives will take part in the fair. And senior officials from MMPRC and the Tourism Ministry will represent Maldives at the fair.

Raahil said that all the preparations required for the fair have already been completed.This fair will have a Maldivian stall, and three special things regarding Maldivian tourism are also planned to be launched at this event. They include the launching of the Official Maldives Accommodation Guide as well as the announcement of the start of Addu Sea Plane Operation. The operating of the Gan International Airport after development will also be promoted, Raahil said.

Every Maldivian group participating in the fair will get a 30 second time slot on the screen in the Maldivian stall to show a video. Important areas of the stall have also been rented out to some travel agencies and resort brands in the Maldives. A general information desk will also be set up at the stall.

The World Travel Market is one of the largest travel and trade fairs held in the world.This is the largest fair MMPRC takes part in other than the ITB Fair. The fair will be held this year in London from the 7th to 9th of next month. A journalist of Avas is set to go to London to cover this event.
