Acting Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and PR Corpopration (MMPRC), Haris Mohamed states that the Maldivian involvement in the three day World Travel Market (WTM) is something that will contribute to an increase of tourists coming from UK and the rest of Europe.
Haris told reporters in London that the English market is a good one for the Maldives and that this fair is a good opportunity to further strengthen this market.
"Our participation is this event is not giving us access only to the UK, but it provides us with a reach to the rest of Europe," Haris informed.
Haris also noted that as the WTM is a trade fair, it has opened many opportunities for the participating companies.
"WTM means business, many opportunities are being provided within the industry, the industry is really enthused to take part in this event," Haris said.
Haris also stated that the target the Maldives has set has been achieved within the WTM fair, and that this target was achieved with the hard work and effort of President Abdulla Yameen, the Tourism Minister, MMPRC and the rest of the industry.
