Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has announced that the fifth general assembly of the party will be held in R.Dhuvaafaru this year.
Secretary General of PPM Abdulla Khaleel said while speaking to 'Avas' that this decision was taken due to the high population of the area and the large number of PPM supporters in the area.
"If our events continue as it is right now, then we will be holding PPM events in the south as well. PPM events will take place all over the Maldives," Khaleel said.
Khaleel said that the meeting was held in Dhuvaafaru targeting the population of nearby atolls. PPM has also held a rally last Friday night which attracted around 12,000 supporters.
