Indian authorities have arrested a 28 year old Maldivian man in a drugs bust, Indian media sources has said.
According to media reports, the Narcotics Control Bureau seized 1.9 kg of hash oil on November 10 from a renowned courier company in Bengaluru.
Police said the consignment was concealed in 10 boxes of 500-gms packets of branded tea and supposed to be shipped to the Maldives.
The NCB team reportedly the Maldivian who had booked the consignment after arriving in India in 2015.
Investigation is under way to determine if more persons are involved in the drug trafficking.
