Kandima Maldives resort is gearing up for its long awaited grand opening next month.
Resort developer Riolo Group's CEO Mohamed Khaleel during an exclusive interview with Avas hailed the two year project worth USD80 million as a major success.
"We had to start right from the bottom. But now it's almost at an end. We are hoping to open the resort by the end of next month," Khaleel said.
A 30-minute flight from Velana International Airport to the domestic airport in Dhaalu Atoll followed by a 20-minute boat ride, Kandima Resort offers guests modern day amenities in stylishly comfortable 274 studios and villas.
Whether its relaxation, adventure, wellbeing, sport, health, spa experiences or just family time, Kandima Maldives has something to offer for every guest.
The 3km long island also boasts the largest pool in the Maldives measuring 100 m along with a kids club, state-of-the-art fitness facilities and personal trainers complimented by aerobic, Zumba and boot camp classes.
Khaleel explained that the resort boasts as many as 10 restaurants/cafes to cater to guests and is equipped with the latest technology.
"We'e designed everything so that we would be moving away from traditional paper work to use the latest technology. Each guest would be given a RFID bracelet," he added.
The soft, waterproof RFID wristbands are extremely comfortable to wear and provides guests a convenient way to store consumption of services while at the resort without having to sign for them.
