Ex-Maldives captain in hospital after heart attack

The former Captain of the Maldives National Football Team, Shah Ismail has suffered a heart attack and is being currently treated at the Urgent Care Center of the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, (IGMH).

Shah, who is currently the Deputy Minister of Fisheries, had the heart attack late Sunday.

He had also previously served as the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, and he is also a member of the national sports council.

With a license from the FAC, Shah has also previously served as the General Secretary of the Football Association of Maldives.

He was Captain of the Maldivian team who reached the finals of the 2003 Saff Championships finals.
