TC Sports Club of Maldives have emerged victors of the final match of the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup, after defeating FC Pocheon of South Korea.
TC had taken the lead in the 18th minute of the match after Abdullah Haneef scored the opening goal. Haneef's header came as a result of a corner kick taken by Hassan Naiz.
Pocheon however equalized just before the break, through scoring a similar header in the forty fifth minute. Pocheon claimed the lead soon after the start of the second half, assisted from another corner.
Mohamed Aziz scored the equalising goal for TC Sports Club in the closing stages of the match.
Two halves of extra time were played to get a result, but both teams failed to find the net leading the match onto penalties.
Pocheon had failed to score two in the penalty shootout, with TC finding the net with every strike, resulting in them winning the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup.
