Kyrgyzstan are off to a good start in the Central Zone Volleyball Tournament, after emerging victors against the Maldivian side in the first tie of the tournament.
Kyrgyzstan registered a relatively comfortable victory against the host nation, taking the game with three straight sets.
Maldives had started the match well, having a lead of 4 points when they reached 20 during the first set of the match. However, Kyrgyzstan had come back from behind to take the set 25-22.
Kyrgyzstan came back from behind in the second set as well, winning the set 31-33.
Kyrgyzstan comfortably led the final set with little resistance from a resigned Maldivian side, taking the set 25-20.
Turkmenistan and Nepal will be facing off in the second tie of the match on Thursday.
