ARC begins anti bullying campaign

Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC), an organisation working to protect and promote the rights and well-being of children in the Maldives, has stated that they will be conducting their anti-bullying focus campaign RESPECT’s sessions starting Wednesday.

ARC revealed that the sessions will be conducted for two groups; students(Grades 8 -12) and parents separately at Islamic University of Maldives.

The sessions for students will be on the 6th and 9th of May and the parents’ session will be conducted on May 3rd and 7th.

The session open to the general public will be administered by ARC’s senior consultant on Education Ms Fathimath Nahid Shakir.

The RESPECT Campaign was launched by ARC in 2014. The campaign is designed to equip children to respect themselves, others, differences, boundaries and surroundings, and has a special focus on anti-bullying and anti-discrimination. It also promotes social values and works towards creating safer environments for children.
