When I say chocolate syrup, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? I can bet my next hot chocolate on it being the classic Hershey’s chocolate syrup bottle.
The time-honored dark chocolate bottle of goodness is linked to our childhood as we remember waking up early on the weekends before our parents did, just so that we can add unlimited amounts of Hershey's chocolate syrup to our milk glasses. It is linked to cold rainy days when we had the perfect excuse to coax mom to prepare hot chocolate, topped with marshmallows and generous amounts of Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Treating broken hearts with a tub of ice cream smothered in the comfort of Hershey’s chocolate syrup. And who can forget being old enough to operate the blender, and finally following that recipe you printed off the internet to prepare thick creamy chocolate milkshakes for your friends
Ingredients
Whipped cream topping (optional)
Crushed ice
Ground cinnamon (optional)
1/4 cup HERSHEY'S Syrup
1-1/2 cups chocolate ice cream or frozen yogurt
1-1/2 cups cold coffee
Directions
Place coffee, ice cream and syrup in blender container. Cover; blend until smooth. Serve immediately over ice. Garnish with whipped topping and cinnamon, if desired. About four 6-ounce servings.
VARIATION: Substitute vanilla ice cream for chocolate ice cream; increase syrup to 1/3 cup.
