A 54-year-old local man was found murdered in an ice plant at Haa Alif Atoll Ihavandhoo.
Police stated that Ismail Umar was found murdered in the ice plant’s lavatory with multiple stab wounds around 4:15 pm on Friday. Umar was a mechanic at the ice plant.
A total of five suspects, all expatriates, have been arrested in relation to the murder.
An investigation on the murder is currently underway.
