Pres ratifies judicature act amendment bill

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, on Sunday, ratified the second amendment bill to the judicature act.

The bill was passed by the Parliament at the sixth sitting of its second session last Wednesday. The act has been published in the government gazette post ratification.

Following the ratification of this amendment, the total number of judges on the High Court bench is now 11, composed of a Chief Judge and 10 additional judges.
