Accor Hotels' to manage their first resort in Maldives

French based hotelier company Accor Hotels will be taking helm of managing their first resort in Maldives in the upcoming month.

According to tourism news sites, Accor Hotels will be managing the entire operation of Jumeirah Dhevanafushi as well as the private island Meradhoo.

Jumeirah Dhevanafushi currently houses 21 villas and 16 water villas with swimming pools and water sports facilities, and upon taking the operational responsibilities of the resort island, Accor's CEO to the region, Patrick Bassett emphasized on the opportunity, stating this will provide the catalyst to boost tourists visiting from the Asia-Pacific region.

The 15 minute speed boat ride from Velana International Airport, Dhevanafushi is set to undergo re-branding and an infrastructural overhauling next year according to the new management, Accor.

The French hotelier magnate, Accor Hotels currently operates a 68 room resort under development in Gaa Alif Atoll Kooddoo.
