A total of 31 individuals have applied their names for the designation of judges to both Criminal and Civil Court upon vacancy announcement.
Judicial Service Commision (JSC) states that the duration to submit names to both superior courts ran until September 10 and while the period is due, 31 individuals submitted their names for the vacant posts.
JSC announced, seeking four judges to Criminal Court and two to Civil Court.
While Criminal Court was announced with four vacant judge posts, the court had recently relocated two of its incumbent judges Abdul Baaree Yoosuf and Ahmed Shakeel to another court - meanwhile judge Ahmed Rasheed from the court is currently under suspension.
