HDC assess living standard of Hulhumale' residents

Hulhumale Development Corporation (HDC) will commence a survey in order to assess the living standards of residents at the booming metropolis.

The survey will commence on Saturday, coming week.

According to HDC the survey - which lasts till September 26 - will have a total of 150 surveyors on field attending the various residences at Hulhumale, to evaluate and assess the complaints, issues and standards of living of the locals taking abode in various apartment complexes and raw houses across the neighborhood blocks of the island.

The housing based corporation aims to identify key factors associated with common complaints and setbacks experienced by the commoners in town as well as to boost a proactive community involvement initiative. HDC states that it believes the importance of civilian feedback and contribution in the developmental progress of Hulhumale'.

In addition to this, HDC aims to place considerable resolutions towards mutually coincided issues faced by the towns people.

First settlers of Hulhumale' took abode in the synthetically developed land back in 2002 - the neighboring town to Hulhule's Velana International Airport has a compact community of 30,000 residents dispersed across various housing complexes while the second phase of land reclamation would serve as catalyst to increase the population index to an approximate 100,000.
