The opposing alliance had actively voiced to dismiss Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) issued suspension order on all 54 advocates over signing a petition filed at Supreme Court - which was not accepted - stressing on all pressing matters and malpractices that needed immediate resolve.
A joint statement of the opposing parties released on Wednesday night criticized DJA's move to suspend a huge number of lawyers questioning the integrity of the country's judiciary. Opposition also claimed the judicial system being oppressed by the state run party and its members, pointing out PPM's comments favoring DJA's action.
The advocates were suspended without providing opportunity to justify their end while Supreme Court had not acknowledged the petition or studied the contents of it prior to the sudden halt on the lawyers' practice. Opposition also showed concern over the unusual time suspension orders were issued, adding court verdicts coming in midnight hours indicates the oppressed and influenced nature of the judicial system.
The anti-government movement condemned the DJA suspension of several lawyers without properly evaluating the document they presented which adds to their claim of a corrupt judiciary. Opposition strongly suspects the current judicial bodies are laced with scandalous schemes and corrupt conduct - adding they do not possess audacity and integrity to put forth resolution motions regarding voiced concerns in the petition.
Government's common practice of labeling any conflict of interest as unlawful and inquiries of legitimacy and transparency of government bodies moved as charges show a nature of evading from the real matter in question.
With DJA's suspension order issued on one-third of lawyers in practice, it has put halt and pause on several ongoing cases and trials related to civilians - and opposition highlighted this as a strip of constitutional rights of them by the state - while several of these advocates are representing high-profile and ongoing cases related to incarcerated politicians, lawmakers and prominent members in politics as well, resulting in a complete dormancy in the progress of trials.
Meanwhile the opposition in their statement had condemned the actions of DJA - characterizing them as a crony to the corrupt state that is impeccably violating the constitutional regulations and rights of several individuals exclusively to favor one end. They also stressed the individuals and associated entities must be held accountable for their breach of trust and discriminating conduct.
Recently the European Union had also shown grave concern about the suspension order imposed on several lawyers.
