Ex-Commissioner to attend Police on Thursday

Former Commissioner of Police and current deputy leader of Jumhoory Party and Kin'bidhoo constituency lawmaker Abdulla Riyaz has been summoned to Police authority on Thursday night.

The ex Commissioner has been summoned for the charges pressed against him for the wrongful accusation of police body and attempt of interrupting police conduct while he is also tried with wrongful accusation and attempt to create uprising among the citizens.

Riyaz has been ordered to attend Police at 20:00hrs on Thursday night, September 28.

Previously Riyaz was summoned to court for the trial where he was ordered to provide his phone for probe. However the deputy leader of JP denied to reveal the phone's unlock code for which he received a criminal offense trial.

However the case has been placed for appeal after court ordered dismissal of trial on the basis of lack of evidence.

The Kin'bidhoo constituency lawmaker is also tried with the allegation of attempting to break command of police ranks.
