The often peaceful and harmonious Hulhumale' has been thrown into a state of shock and grief following the untimely and strangely abrupt demise of two youths in the neighboring town to capital city Male'.
Aasandha Corporation which runs the Hulhumale' Hospital said that two youths were rushed into hospital around 20:30hrs tonight. The authority confirms the demise of one Ahmed Haameen, 22, Thaa Atoll Thimarafushi while the second victim, aged 21 brought in was in a state of shock and critical condition.
Both youngsters were rushed into hospital after the two had collapsed amid a football game. The two youths were covered in sand - possibly from falling into the football ground which does not have conventional grass patching - while a teenage girl aged 18 was rushed into hospital earlier today as well.
She was presumed dead before she was transported into Hulhumale' Hospital by Maldives Police Service.
Eyewitnesses report the adolescent girl had died due to drowning while swimming at the track area in Hulhumale'.
Police has commenced investigation of the sudden demise of both victims.
Meanwhile several residents of Hulhumale' and temporary visitors from Male' for the weekend have been spiraled into a chaotic and mortified condition the sudden and strange nature of two youths departing.
