A youth has been stabbed with sharp implements while at a restaurant.
Maldives Police Service confirms that they received reports of assault at 23:30hrs on Friday night.
Eyewitnesses report the victim was stabbed at three places on his back while he was at G-Six Restaurant which is located in front of Peoples' Majilis - the parliament house. The stabbed was rushed to nearby ADK Hospital where medical attention was provided to him, however he was in a critical condition according to family.
The stabbing is no different from most of the previous such incidents; which sparked due to the rivalry between two gangs operating in capital city Male'.
Earlier on Friday night another had fallen victim in neighboring Hulhumale'. His injuries had been severe and was reported dead shortly after the incident.
The victim who died at Hulhumale' stabbing incident has been identified as Haaris Abdul Qafoor, 25, Gaa Ali Dhaandhoo. Who was getting rehabilitation treatment from Half-Way House at Hulhumale'.
According to sources Qafoor's death was an act of revenge linked to the murder at Maafannu a week back.
