A youth was stabbed death at Hulhumale' on Friday night.
Aasandha Company that runs the Hulhumale' Hospital confirmed the victim, identified as Haaris Abdul Qafoor, 25, Gaaf Alif Dhaandhoo was dead at the time he was brought into the hospital.
Reports confirm the incident took place around 22:10hrs.
His death has been corroborated by Maldives Police Service and identified the victim as a patient at Half-Way House; a drug rehabilitation center at Hulhumale'. He was getting treated for narcotics addiction.
The victim was stabbed in four places as he had stepped out from the premises of Half-Way House on Friday night.
Various sources speculate the stabbing is linked to the murder at Maafannu a week back - and Haaris fell victim to a retaliation from the opposing gang.
Meanwhile the town of Hulhumale' has been thrown into a chaotic state of shock after the strange and abrupt demise of two youngsters on Thursday. Police revealed they discovered strong "party drugs" from the location where two adolescent boys collapsed and was rushed to hospital - out of which 22 year old Ahmed Haameen was dead on arrival.
Another, 18 year old Sama was found dead at the swimming track location earlier on Thursday.
The sudden death of the two had left Hulhumale' citizens in a state of shock and fear.
