ACC concludes 265 cases in third quarter

Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has concluded a total of 265 cases during the third quarter of 2017 making a total of 815 cases completed within the past 9 months.

The commission has publicized its statistics on Tuesday showing that ACC had handed over a total of 7 cases for prosecution in the third quarter. This marks an increase of 57.74% of conduct in comparison to last year's third quarter.

ACC trailed at 167 case completions back in 2016 with just two of them reaching for court prosecution during third quarter.

The statistics also indicated that out of the 265 cases completed by ACC, 258 of them were not associated with corruption or similar offenses. In addition to this, 82 memos were circulated to 64 government institutions to resolve cases.
