Parliament MP purchases land from capital for MVR 4 mil

Inguraidhoo constituency lawmaker Ibrahim Falah has purchased a 1000 square foot land plot from the capital city of Male'.

Civil Court, on Thursday had declared the land acquisition and transaction between the owner and MP Falah as valid. The court statement also declared the MP had purchased the land on a total of MVR 4 million.

Additionally the court order had also stated that the pro-government lawmaker had settled the total payment, thus Falah is declared as the new landlord of Maafannu Al-Hadeed residence.

While a parliament lawmaker had purchased a land from the capital city, recently Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu had acquired a 3,388 square feet raw-house after settling an amount of MVR 5.9 million to Hulhumale' Development Corporation (HDC).

Similarly several government dignitaries and elite members associated with the state and ruling party had acquired luxury apartments at the Platinum Residences in Hulhumale'.

This had included Legal Affairs Minister of President's Office Aishath Azima Shakoor, Ambassador of Maldives to India Ahmed Mohamed along with a Coordinator and State Minister of Environment Ministry as well as Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed's spouse.
