Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has taken their prestigious Maldives Travel Awards to the next level by placing advertisements on London operated taxi cabs and other land vehicles.
According to MATATO the marketing campaign, which is attempted the first time ever was kicked off to garner the required reach during a time when London is currently hosting World Travel Market (WTM).
Several road vehicles including taxi cabs and vans have been pasted with travel award stickers to promote the upcoming event. The campaign is expected to last til the completion of WTM.
Similarly MATATO had boosted a marketing campaign to promote its travel awards at Dubai.
The MATATO brainchild Maldives Travel Awards (MTA) saw the event spanning to three separate events where "Peoples' Edition" and guesthouse awards have already been held to award the best in the respective fields.
MTA's main event is slated for November 30 at Hudhuranfushi where Peoples' Edition awards were held as well.
