Abu Dhabi Fund has decided to grant a free aid for digitizing the academic institutes in Maldives.
Discussions were held between Abu Dhabi Fund executives and Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer during his visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE). Though discussions were held between Zameer and the Fund, the exact amount of free aid to be received to Maldives were not disclosed.
Zameer confirmed that a draft on the agreement was reached with the final agreement works underway, with inking the deal closing in. The agreement would grant Maldivian government with digital devices to replace textbooks as well as other equipment to transform conventional teaching methods.
Last year the incumbent state administration, and its Education Ministry announced their aim for a digital transformation of the educational field in Maldives.
