Two airport projects planned in Funadhoo and Gaaf Dhaal atoll Maavarulu is currently in need of developer-parties interested in the construction of runway, taxiway and apron.
The Finance Ministry announcement confirmed the bid-security period lasts for a four month duration from bid opening date. Interested developers have to submit the security within the four month duration.
Another 5% of the total contract value should be settled in advance as performance security. Advance payment is another 10% from the total contract value which needs to be settled at the ministry as a payment guarantee.
The pre-bid meeting is scheduled for upcoming Thursday, at 11:00hrs while the project bidding will commence on February 15.
State has confirmed the development of five new regional airports which includes northern-hub Kulhudhuffushi as well. Land reclamation of Haa Dhaal Kulhudhuffushi concluded with MTCC, the assigned corporation for reclamation project, has moved towards Shaviyani atoll Funadhoo.
