Authorities confirm that a dead body was found in the lagoon of Gaaf Alif Maamendhoo - central Maldives.
Maldives Police confirmed that the body of a 39 year old local was discovered in the lagoon of Maamendhoo earlier on Saturday. The island's health center had confirmed the individual dead on arrival to the premises.
Police had also stated they received information regarding the deceased individual around 09:15hrs on Saturday morning, adding they are investigating the reason for death.
