Former Home Minister seeks public opinion on manifesto

Former Home Minister Umar Naseer who recently joined business tycoon Gasim Ibrahim's Jumhoory Party has commenced his preparation for the upcoming presidential election.

In a Facebook post Umar Naseer had stated he will be sharing several posts on the popular social media platform highlighting public opinion and visions for a possible governance under his administration.

Naseer had requested from the public to share their views on these public posts on Facebook as it would help him in understanding the various issues and difficulties faced by the people in different social circumstances.

The former Home Minister in his public statement asserted his hope of attaining a deeper comprehension on the public opinion and their expectations regarding the country's development and progress.

Umar Naseer had also stressed that he will indefinitely run for presidency in 2018's election and 'set the course of the country's direction in a better path.'

Initially Naseer had strongly reiterated his motive to join Jumhoory Party was to aid and assist the party's leader Gasim Ibrahim to secure a run for presidency. However after it had been clear under current political circumstances the outspoken business tycoon cannot run for the top-office, Naseer said he would be replacing the party's leader as the presidential candidate.

While Umar Naseer has confirmed he has started preparing a campaign manifesto for the elections, Jumhoory Party is collectively attempting to conceive a manifesto for the multi-party agreed candidate; who has not been revealed yet.
