Police Disciplinary Board revamped with ACP termination

The police disciplinary board has been revamped with many of its members changed while the department's assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Abdul Mannan has been officially terminated from his designation.

Mannan was suspended during the tenure of former commissioner of police Ahmed Areef and has been under suspension ever since. However he was formally relieved of his duties as police officer immediately after the disciplinary board members were changed, according to a trusted source.

Former disciplinary board members Police Superintendent (PSI) Satheeh and Police Superintendent (PSI) Mohamed Rasheed were dismissed from the board prior to the ACP Mannan's termination and replaced by Chief Superintendent of Police (CSI) Ahmed Shifan and Chief Superintendent of Police Mohamed Dawood.

Reportedly Maldives Police Service has brought visible changes to its top-brass recently however the authority had not disclosed full details regarding these changes.
