An over-water spa at Vommuli Island Resort, Dhaal atoll was struck with fire on Saturday morning.
Fire and Rescue department of Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has managed to extinguish the fire and reports no injuries in the incident.
MNDF confirms they received reports of fire at Vommuli Island Resort around 09:05hrs on Saturday morning. The authority's fire and rescue was immediately dispatched to location.
Just last week Niyama Resort of the same atoll hit a similar incident when three of the resort's over-water villas caught fire and was completely destroyed.
