Ruling Progressive Party of Maldives' (PPM) running-mate Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has met and discussed the presidential election of 2018 with Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad Baagir.
Ruling party nominated running-mate had met with Islamic Minister in hopes of acquiring support and assistance of senior officials of the ministry.
The discussion mainly focused on utilizing political appointees of Islamic Ministry during president Abdulla Yameen's campaign trips across Maldives.
Islamic Minister Ziyad added Dr. Mohamed Shaheem will be participating in future workshops conducted by the ministry. Ziyad had also assured support and assistance to the best capacity from him and his ministry to Dr. Shaheem regarding the presidential polls.
