PPM running-mate urges resolving issues after pres polls

Progressive Party of Maldives' (PPM) running-mate Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has admitted on several pertaining issues on policy and government's administrative level that requires fixing.

However, the ruling party endorsed and president Abdulla Yameen's running-mate claimed the issues must be deliberated towards a fix only after the conclusion of the crunch presidential elections that is only two days away.

Praising the ruling party's presidential candidate Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, who is seeking re-election in 2018, Dr. Shaheem asserted the incumbent president has been successful in upholding Islamic best practices and values while governing the nation.

He also claimed the island nation's president has been headstrong against international challenges that may have on several degrees upend the country's political affairs.

While emphasizing on the importance of the Maldives public's support to president Yameen's cause, Dr. Shaheem insisted on showing proper allegiance to him. He also added that the current situation demands pushing 'crises resolving' after the presidential elections.

Expressing his political stance Dr. Shaheem claimed the social vices like corruption and injustice can be eliminated with proper use of dialogue and advocacy. However, he noted such issues can only be solved if the country maintains its sovereignty, economic stability and social perseverance; which can only be realized through strong policies.

In his elaboration the PPM running-mate declared the only one capable of thriving the island nation towards such an economic and social prosperity with strong governance and policies, was president Abdulla Yameen.
