Ruling Progressive Party of Maldives' (PPM) running-mate and Islamic University of Maldives' (IUM) chancellor Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has revealed his first campaign trip to Gaaf Alif atoll.
On his official Facebook page, Dr. Shaheem revealed he will be commencing the first wave of his campaign trips across the atolls of Maldives on coming Thursday. He aims to rally support for his presidential candidate Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom; who is looking for a re-election.
Meanwhile PPM's presidential candidate, incumbent head of state Abdulla Yameen is currently visiting several islands across various atolls to initiate or inaugurate various projects in those islands.
During these trips, president Abdulla Yameen attempts to make new pledges and promises of more developmental projects should he get re-elected.
