A violent altercation at reclaimed suburb Hulhumale' left a 22 year old youth stabbed in the head.
The incident took place on Thursday evening according to authorities. Media official of Aasandha Corporation, in-charge of managing Hulhumale' Hospital, Asiyah Solih confirmed the victim was rushed for medical attention.
According to Solih the youth's health condition has stabilized. Authorities report the incident took place around 21:30hrs of Thursday evening.
This marks the fourth such stabbing incident in Hulhumale' in recent weeks. Last week three individuals fell victim to separate stabbing incidents at the satellite town and were rushed to hospital for medical attention.
Maldives Police have not stepped forward to confirm if any arrests were made.
