Ruling party running-mate Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed will be traveling on Friday to Fuvahmulah for campaign activities.
Dr. Shaheem made confirmation of the plan to visit the Gnaviyani atoll island on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday evening.
Immediately after his appointment as president Abdulla Yameen's running-mate for the crunch presidential elections in September Dr. Shaheem visited Gaaf Alif, his birth atoll.
Following this he traveled to Malaysia and met with Maldivians living in the country to rally in support for president Yameen.
While Dr. Shaheem is expected to travel to Fuvahmulah on Friday, ruling party presidential candidate Abdulla Yameen has returned to Maldives capital Male' City on Thursday after concluding his three day trip to both Gaaf Alif and Gaaf Dhaal atolls.
