Pres Yameen's 'only winning option is cheating' says opposition

According to opposition coalition presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih the only way incumbent president Abdulla Yameen emerging victorious in the crunch presidential election is by cheating.

While addressing the public of Haa Dhaal atoll Nellaidhoo, Solih claimed president Yameen cannot rally any support from the island.

Solih also claimed president Yameen will receive support only from a few exceptions, adding the Maldives head of state will resort to illicit tactics.

The opposition presidential candidate was vary about the significant number of re-registration forms that reaches close to nearly 100K. Solih speculated malicious conduct behind the sudden hike in re-registration figure, and said the move could facilitate a possible vote rigging scenario.

Solih also assured to rid Maldives of corruption and injustice, which the opposition claim was introduced by president Yameen's administration, by casting vote against him in the September scheduled presidential elections.

While pressing about development projects at Nellaidhoo, Solih criticized the government for its negligence to include the island in any noticeable infrastructural development projects.
