Fifth suspect arrested over Ensis robbery

Police have arrested a fifth suspect over the theft of MVR2 million from Ensis Fisheries Group.

The money, carried in cash, was robbed from two employees of Ensis at the reclaimed suburb Hulhumale on July 31.

Police had earlier arrested four suspects which included some staff of the company in connection to the robbery.

Police said the 20 year old suspect was arrested from Meemu Atoll Muli island on Friday.

Ensis confirms that two masked men on bike had robbed the company's employees when they came out of the office at Hulhumale' carrying the money. The fisheries company also claimed the CCTV cameras in the area would have caught the robbery.
