Pres Yameen set for Kulhudhuffushi to open airport on Fri

Maldives president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is expected to fly to Haa Dhaal atoll Kulhudhuffushi on Friday afternoon to officially open the newly developed airport in the island.

Included among one of the campaign pledges, the Kulhudhuffushi airport development was given top priority under president Yameen's administration.

Immediately after the development works concluded in the airport, test flights landed on Wednesday.

Though president Abdulla Yameen will be officially inaugurating the airport at Kulhudhuffushi, the terminal premises is not completed. However, the tarmac which was given primary importance had concluded in its development.

In addition to opening the airport the Maldives head of state will be opening the bottling factory developed by Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC).
