Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Monday has appointed the constitutionally mandated designation of 'Director General of Transitional' to oversee and manage all government transitioning aspects.
The commission appointed Ahmed Latheef, Henveiru Seaweed for the mentioned responsibilities commissioning him with executive powers to manage the transition of governments in Maldives; which is expected in November.
Latheef held the Maldivian ambassador to China during former president Mohamed Nasheed's regime.
According to local law 5/2010 a transitional director general should be appointed immediately after Maldives electoral watchdog announces the final polls results of presidential election.
