Police on Tuesday arrested four more suspects in connection to the robbery of the Bank of Maldives (BML) branch in the Gaaf Alif Atoll Villingili island.
The seven suspects arrested the day before had been remanded while the police had recovered MVR14 million from the stolen money found stashed inside a washing machine in abandoned house in the island.
Police said a Bangladesh national were among the suspects arrested in connection to the robbery.
The suspects had reportedly entered the bank through the roof and used a gas cutter to break into the safe.
