Two people was injured after an explosion aboard a safari vessel on Sunday.
Police said the incident was reported just before noon on Sunday where a local and a Sri Lankan national were injured in the explosion aboard the vessel anchored near Meeru island resort.
The victims had suffered extensive burn injuries and had been rushed to the Tree Top Hospital in the reclaimed suburb Hulhumale, police said.
According to the police, the cause of the explosion was not yet clear and there had been no fire after the incident.
