The body of a dead man has been discovered in Villingili island of Ga. atoll.
Maldives Police Service revealed that the 39 year old man was discovered by police patrolling the island around 7 am on Sunday morning, near a boathouse on the southern side of the island.
Several injuries were discovered on the body of the dead local and burn marks were visible on his body, revealed the police, although it is not likely that the injuries are from a sharp object.
The police are investigating the case further.
